What is the "catchall" mailbox? The catchall mailbox receives any emails addressed to your domain that do not have a mailbox. WARNING: catchall mailboxes are likely to vastly increase the amount of spam you receive, as spammers will try out different mailboxes at your domain to see which, if any, receive email. With a catchall mailboxes ANYTHING @ your domain will receive email. You cannot have a catchall mailbox with our anti-spam solutionThis is because a spam digest will be sent to any non-existent mailboxes that spammers send emails to, so a potentially huge number of spam digests will also be forwarded to you, which defeats the object of the anti-spam solution. Example:Let's say you have the following mailboxes: janet@yourdomain.co.uk If someone sends an email to Janet or John, the email will go straight to their mailbox. If someone sends an email to info@yourdomain.co.uk (which does not have a mailbox), it will go to the catchall mailbox. From the catchall mailbox it will be redirected to a mailbox of your choice. You can set the catchall mailbox by logging in to the content management system and clicking "Email setup" on the top row, then adding a catchall mailbox. This can then be redirected as required. If you redirect the catchall mailbox, be sure to check 'Don't deliver to this mailbox'. The catchall feature means that all emails will get through, even if they are sent to someone that has left the company and no longer has a mailbox, or if the name (before the @ symbol) is mis-spelt.
