Email - overviewHaving problems sending or receiving emails? Click here first.WebmailWebmail lets you send and receive email from anywhere in the world using just a browser (such as Internet Explorer). This is very convenient when you are out and about but it is slower than an email client and you cannot view your emails offline. Email client softwareThis is software that runs on your computer to send, receive and manage your emails, e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express and Eudora. Quicker than webmail but you can only use it from one computer. You have three options: 1) Use webmail on it's ownGo to the 'Webmail' link on the login page. This will open a new window. Log in with your full email address and password. 2) Use an email client on it's ownSee the setup information below. The password is the same for webmail and Outlook (or other email client). 3) Use webmail and an email client togetherThis gives you the best of both worlds. You can use your email client (such as Outlook) and you can still send and receive emails from any internet-connected computer. It is important to realise that webmail will only show new emails, i.e. emails that have not been downloaded to your desktop computer via your email client. |
