Quick start for new developers

If you are new to developing websites with the CMS, we suggest you follow this simple route to a 'hello world' website.

  • Click 'Websites' to create a new website.
  • Your new website will appear at the top of your list of websites. Click login.
  • Click 'Template manager' then click 'New page template' and a 'New menu template'. You can rename them now or later if you wish.
  • For the page template you just created, select your new menu template.
  • Now click 'Pages'
  • Click '+' in the left panel to add a page.
  • Click 'Edit templates/Page' to edit the page template.
  • You are now editing the page template. Click 'Bare bones'.
  • Click 'Edit templates/Page' to edit the menu template.
  • You are now editing the menu template. Click 'Bare bones'.
  • Now add some more pages.

You now have a website with very simple page and menu templates. You can edit the templates as you wish and edit the stylesheet to create a look and feel for the site.

Publish the website, then click 'Open test website' in the top right corner.
