Romancart options

Let's imagine you are selling framed pictures and you have options for size and finish.

You can use the first option list for the size and the second list to select matt or gloss finish, e.g:

Option 1:
10x8 print
20x16 print
30x20 print

Option 2:
Matt finish
Gloss finish

Alternatively, if they are all the same price, you could list all the options in one list, e.g.:

10x8 print in matt finish
10x8 print in gloss finish
20x16 print in matt finish
20x16 print in gloss finish
30x20 print in matt finish
30x20 print in gloss finish

Changing prices using options lists

With preview off, click the [help] link in the product template. This will show a quick reminder of how to change the price for each option.

The numeric value in the curly braces will get added to the base price. This must be a numeric value only, with two decimal places. Anything within the curly braces will not be displayed on the published website, but simply tells the cart to add this amount to the price if this option is selected.

Example 1: if the 10x8 picture is £12.00 (the base price), the 20x16 is £18.00 and the 30x20 is £24.00 and you use one options list:

10x8 print in matt finish £12.00
10x8 print in gloss finish £12.00
20x16 print in matt finish £18.00 {6.00}
20x16 print in gloss finish £18.00 {6.00}
30x20 print in matt finish £24.00 {12.00}
30x20 print in gloss finish £24.00 {12.00}

Example 2: as example 1, but let's assume that the gloss finish adds £1.50 to the price:

Option 1:
10x8 print in matt finish £12.00
20x16 print in matt finish £18.00 {6.00}
30x20 print in matt finish £24.00 {12.00}

Option 2:
Matt finish
Gloss finish (add £1.50) {1.50}
