E-commerce (RomanCart)

This is designed as a quick "get you started" guide. For detailed help, use the help buttons within RomanCart.

Important notes

Always set prices with two decimals and do not include any currency symbol,

e.g.: use 129.00 not 129 or £129 or £129.00

To log into RomanCart go to https://secure.romancart.com/login.asp and log in with the details we have sent to you.

What happens when someone orders something?

Once payment by credit card has been authorized, both you and the customer will receive an email detailing the goods sold. The customer may also receive an email from the payment gateway (e.g. Worldpay).

What you need to do when someone orders something

  • Ship the goods to the customer.
  • Optionally, send a despatch note to the customer to let them know that the goods are on their way.
    - Log into RomanCart.
    - Click "Website sales manager".
    - In the right column tick the orders you are despatching.
    - Make sure the select list is set to "Set to despatched (send email)".
    - Click "Go".

Other important RomanCart functions

View sales reports
 - allows you to quickly review your sales for a given period.

Set shipping/carriage options
 - allows you to change the way carriage is calculated.

Configure countries
 
- allows you to determine which countries you will, or will not, accept orders from.
